Ndutu Olmorijo camp

Ndutu Olmorijo Camp is a newly established mobile mid-range lodging situated in the lush green plains of Ndutu within the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania. The camp is rescheduled from December to March. In the Ndutu region, about a million wildebeest give birth to calves in the savannah plains. Guests can access the camp by undertaking a 4-5 hour drive from Arusha town to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, followed by a 1-2 hour fly from Arusha to the adjacent Ndutu airstrip, and then a brief ride to the camp.

Ndutu Olmorijo camp features five luxurious and spacious en suite tents, providing single beds for individuals and options for double and triple occupancy, all with views of the savannah plains. The tents are elegantly adorned, elevated on platforms, and equipped with en-suite facilities comprising a sanitary flushing toilet, bush showers with hot and cold water heated by fire, a safari bucket shower, solar energy, mosquito nets, tables and chairs, complimentary toiletries, bottled water, and additional amenities. The tents include open verandas and seating spaces that provide a panoramic view of the savannah plain, with wildlife traversing the vicinity. Tents are furnished with high-quality, laundered bedding with queen- and king-sized beds. The camp features crackling fireplaces where guests can unwind and exchange stories and experiences from the safari, while also providing warmth during the nights and colder days.

The Ngorongoro Crater is located in the northern region of Tanzania, adjacent to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area within the Great Rift Valley, with a total area of 8,292 km² and is approximately 3 million years old. The crater is the premier location in East Africa, offering stunning and awe-inspiring vistas. The park features various attractions, including the wildebeest migration from the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, the Salei Plains, and the Olkarien Gorge, as well as diverse flora and fauna and breathtaking scenery, among others. The park has several accommodation categories, encompassing cheap, mid-range, and luxury alternatives, all of which are accessible and reasonably priced for visitors to the region.

The park features short grasses, elevated terrains, and picturesque volcanoes. The area contains more than 25,000 large animals, comprising 26 black rhinoceroses, over 100 lions, 7,000 wildebeests, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 elands, and 3,000 Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles. The park is home to several creatures, including the Big Five mammals: lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard, and rhinoceros, as well as zebras, impalas, antelopes, and numerous bird species.

The Park offers a breathtaking vista of the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest caldera globally, together with its surrounding regions.

There is a greater population of Maasai Mara pastoralists in Ngorongoro Park. The entrance fee for Ngorongoro Park is $80 per individual. June, July, and late January through February are the optimal months for safari tourism in Tanzania, particularly on the Ngorongoro side.
