Serengeti Mobile Tented Camps

Serengeti Mobile Tented Camps: Serengeti Explorer Camp relocates biannually inside Serengeti National Park to optimize wildlife viewing opportunities. Annually, from mid-December until the end of March, the camp is located in the Ndutu region on a picturesque hilltop, providing an ideal vantage point to observe the migration and the distinctiveness of the calving season. The spectacular vistas of Lake Ndutu and memorable sunsets can be appreciated from this location.

From early June to late October, the Serengeti Safari Camp is situated in the Lobo region, adjacent to the Grumeti and Mara Rivers. This site offers easy access to the Lobo Airstrip. Guests here appreciate an equally remarkable wildlife experience of the migration. This specific location of the camp has only a limited number of neighboring campers that offer unobstructed views of nature.

The Serengeti Explorer Camp is closed in April, May, November, and early December. The Camp offers Deluxe Tents and expansive Family Suites. The camp is entirely solar-powered and comprises twelve tents in total. Each expansive Luxury Tent is exquisitely adorned. The auditory elements of the surrounding nature are audible within the indoor environment. Guests in the Luxury Suites are guaranteed a great degree of seclusion.

Ubuntu Migration Camp

The Ubuntu Migration Camp tracks the vast herds of wildebeest as they traverse the Serengeti. From the dramatic river crossings in the north to the verdant plains in the south, where wildebeest calve, we establish camp nearby to guarantee your proximity to the activity.

The camp operates from mid-November to mid-March in the Southern Serengeti and from mid-June to October in the Northern Serengeti, then closing for repair from mid-March to mid-June.

Olakira Migration Camp

The movable Olakira Migration Camp tracks the wildebeest migration throughout the Serengeti, from the dramatic river crossings in the north to the southern plains where they annually give birth to thousands of calves. Accompany us to observe the most significant wildlife migration globally.

From June to October, Olakira is situated in the north to observe the Mara River crossing. Observe thousands of wildebeest courageously plunge into the river, confronting ravenous Nile crocodiles and irritable hippos. As the herds migrate, the atmosphere is permeated with groaning, thudding hooves and swirling dust. From December to March, we relocate our camp to the southern Serengeti grasslands, where wildebeest calve and graze on verdant grass, attracting predators like lions and cheetahs that hunt the young.

Serian’s Serengeti Mobile Kusini

Serian’s Serengeti Mobile Kusini is a transient camp designed to optimize the extraordinary wildebeest migration. From December to May, the camp is situated on the periphery of the short grass plains, providing an ideal vantage point over the expansive area where the herds congregate to give birth to their offspring. Situated in a lush forest, historic paths traverse the migration directly past the campsite.
