5 day Camping Safari Group Joining Tours

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your expedition commences with an early morning collection from your hotel in Arusha town (between 6:30 and 7:00 AM). Following a safari briefing, we proceed to Tarangire National Park, famous for its substantial elephant populations and venerable baobab trees.

Experience an entire day of game driving, complemented by a picnic lunch at a picturesque location within the park. Tarangire is especially magnificent during the dry season (June-October) when fauna congregates along the Tarangire River. Be vigilant for lions, leopards, and the park’s renowned tree-climbing pythons.

In the late afternoon, we depart the park and travel to our lodging in Karatu, a journey of roughly 1.5 hours. Evening meal and overnight accommodation at your chosen camp or lodge, with the night available for relaxation and storytelling with fellow visitors.

Day 2: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast at approximately 7:00 AM, we commence our expedition to the renowned Serengeti National Park. The journey traverses the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with optional pauses at observation sites.

We access the Serengeti at Naabi Hill Gate at approximately lunchtime, where you may relish your picnic lunch while appreciating the magnificent vistas. The afternoon is allocated for game drives across the Serengeti’s vast plains, in pursuit of the Big Five and witnessing the seasonal big migration.

As the sun descends over the savannah, we proceed to our camp/lodge in the central Seronera region. Following dinner, succumb to slumber amidst the auditory backdrop of the African wilderness, accompanied by the distant whoops of hyenas.

Day 3: Full Exploration of Serengeti National Park

Today is devoted to an extensive examination of the Serengeti’s varied ecosystems. We commence with an early morning game drive, departing at approximately 6:30 AM, when predators exhibit heightened activity. Your guide will escort you to optimal wildlife observation locations according to current animal migrations.

Partake in a picnic lunch at a picturesque kopje, followed by afternoon game drives. The Serengeti provides exceptional animal observation, featuring vast herds of wildebeest during migration and stable populations of lions, cheetahs, and secretive leopards.

In the late afternoon, we proceed to our lodging near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. The lower temperatures at this altitude facilitate a pleasant night’s sleep before to the crater descent tomorrow.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Overnight in Karatu

We enter the Ngorongoro Crater early (about 6:30 AM) when wildlife activity is at its zenith. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is frequently referred to as “Africa’s Eden” because of its abundant wildlife within a remarkable volcanic caldera.

Devote the morning to investigating the crater bottom, where the likelihood of encountering the Big Five is quite high. The crater’s distinctive environment sustains over 25,000 large animals, including endangered black rhinoceroses. Dine in the picturesque Ngoitokitok picnic area adjacent to a hippopotamus pool.

In the afternoon, we mount the crater walls and return to Karatu (about one hour). Arrive at your accommodation with plenty time to unwind by the pool or investigate the surrounding neighborhood. Evening meal and overnight stay in Karatu.

Day 5: Transfer from Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Following breakfast, we will check out and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park, approximately a 30-minute drive away. This little park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, substantial elephant populations, and many flamingos that color the lake pink.

Experience a morning wildlife drive over varied ecosystems, ranging from lakeshores to groundwater forests. Search for groups of baboons, blue monkeys, and, if fortunate, lions resting in acacia trees. We depart the park about noon and commence our return to Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha by late afternoon (about 3-4 PM), where we will transport you to your accommodation or the airport. Conclusion of our services, accompanied by indelible recollections of Tanzania’s remarkable animals and sceneries.
