Gorilla trekking in Uganda offers a unique opportunity to observe the remarkable mountain gorillas in the rainforests of central Africa, specifically on the slopes of the Virunga Mountains and within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Travelers who have undertaken this Uganda safari commend it highly. Some assert that no other animal encounter in Africa rivals the unparalleled excitement of experiencing Uganda’s wild gorillas in their natural environment. Mountain gorillas cannot flourish outside their native habitat, so they cannot be maintained in zoos. They exclusively reside in Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), two isolated tropical jungles in East and Central Africa. The last colossal apes are zealously protected by these nations, akin to a medieval king’s fortress.
This safari will visit Tarangire National Park, renowned for its substantial elephant population, and Serengeti National Park, the premier and most renowned park in Tanzania, notable for its significant populations of lions and leopards. The excursion will subsequently lead you to the core of Tanzania’s safari territory. Your safari will conclude at the Ngorongoro Crater, a renowned location sometimes described as a “natural zoo” due to its rich diversity of wildlife that attracts numerous predators, such as cheetahs, leopards, lions, and hyenas.
The four primary zones of Tanzania’s northern parks, renowned throughout Africa, each offer unique experiences. While numerous travelers transit in under a week, our 10-day intense safari allows for a relaxed tempo and sufficient opportunity to appreciate the greatest aspects of each region explored. The intense safari encompasses two Serengeti sites that provide access to areas with consistently outstanding wildlife throughout the year, together with a seasonal camp that relocates to align with the annual wildebeest migration.
