Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park

Today, our company representative will get you from Dar es Salaam International Airport or your accommodation and transport you to Nyerere National Park in a 4×4 safari vehicle. The expedition to Nyerere lasts approximately four hours, after which you will check into your lodge and enjoy a meticulously prepared meal. Unwind at your lodge and, in the afternoon, commence your inaugural expedition – a boat safari on the Rufiji River within Nyerere National Park.

The river, which traverses Nyerere National Park to the Indian Ocean, is one of the park’s most intriguing attributes, inhabited by numerous Nile crocodiles, hippopotamuses, and a diverse range of aquatic avifauna. The river serves as a significant water source in the park and attracts numerous terrestrial creatures that come to hydrate and repose along its banks. Day 2: Nyerere National Park

Today, you will arise early and partake in breakfast at 06:30 am prior to embarking on a comprehensive day of wildlife observation, encompassing both morning and afternoon game drives. Nyerere National Park is esteemed as the premier alternative for an unconventional wildlife safari, distinct from the crowds. The Game Reserve is the largest in Africa and hosts several wild animals and avian species. From the luxury of your 4×4 open-roof safari vehicle, seize the chance to observe lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, hippos, impalas, hartebeests, pythons, and elands, along with the rare wild dogs. With fortune, you will get the opportunity to witness these beautiful predators of the African bush.

In contrast to northern Tanzania, where wildlife is more habituated, animals in this region exhibit greater fearfulness. Additionally, Nyerere National Park is home to more than 400 documented bird species. A lunch break will occur following the initial game drive of the day, anticipated to last 3 to 4 hours. Day 3: Nyerere to Mikumi National Park

Following breakfast, you will embark on a guided walking safari accompanied by two armed rangers for security. Experience a 2-hour safari walk expedition, allowing you intimate encounters with wildlife and the park’s remarkable ecosystems. Return to your lodging and then depart for Mikumi National Park, situated north of Nyerere National Park, with a lunch stop along the way. You will reach Mikumi in the late afternoon and proceed directly to your lodge for check-in. You may opt to either spend the remainder of the day at leisure or partake in a game drive in the park. Day 4: Mikumi National Park

Following breakfast, partake in a comprehensive day of game viewing in the park, inclusive of a packed lunch and mineral water. Today’s focal point is the park’s primary attraction, the Mikumi floodplain, complemented by the adjacent mountain ranges that offer panoramic views and many wildlife encounters, including lions, eland, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, hartebeests, buffalo, wildebeest, and elephants, among others. Mikumi elephants primarily graze and do not inflict damage. The game drives will conclude at approximately 6:30 PM, after which you will return to your camp and retire for the evening. Day 5: Mikumi to Dar-es-salaam

Partake in a morning game drive in Mikumi before to departing from the park.
